Most of us dread to put together an outfit every single morning . Finding the right outfit can be like solving a Rubik's cube , if done right it's fun and much easier to get going. Here are some tips and tricks to turn yourself from a fashion blunder to a fashion bomber.

1. THE BASICS :

As always this time too I will start from the scratch - Pinterest , Tumblr , Instagram or even searching on the internet can be one of the easiest way to find the style you like. Download and save in a separate folder or Pin down the outfit ideas that you want to replicate. Also go through your own wardrobe to see the pieces of clothing you love to wear.

P.S While searching for inspiration on social media strictly stay away from memes else you will find another reason to hate yourself. Hehe. Just Kidding.

2. MAKE YOUR OWN SCRAP BOOK :

This may seem silly and hard at first but once you do it trust me it will become a thing you enjoy. Go through newspaper, magazine, movies, books and cut out all the prints , silhouettes , designs , trends you like and attach them to your scrap book. Remember the first ten pages will always be difficult to fill but once you fill and skim through those ten pages you will know what I am saying.

3. GO THROUGH THE TRENDS AND FASHION ICONS:

Travel through the paths of evolution of dresses, trends that were followed or the icons who changed the entire scenario. Find your taste , is it the shoulder pads from 80's or the glamorous yet conservative look of 50's. You may like the bright bold colours of the 60's or the flashy sequins of the disco era.Pick your own choices

Finally after you have done all the research and collected all the inspiration around the world , look for what is common in them, is it the certain silhouette or the colour scheme. Is it more pastels or strong towards bold. Then look into the things like is the outfit a reflection of my personality ? will the outfit go with my lifestyle ? or the basic question of will the outfit be accepted by the society ? ( this is where every outfit fails to impress 'khandan ke bujurg' *Cough*Patriarchy exists *Cough*.) After all these fuss you will narrow it down to the things you like.

When you narrow down to the path of what you like finally TRY TRY AND TRY on the looks you found, add and remove pieces you want from your wardrobe , combine various styles and finally slowly and steadily you will find your own style. Here' - s a little tip for you, avoid impulse buying because doing that can result into an entire wardrobe you don't like. Evade the honey traps of sales and discounts as far as possible. Instead everytime you go shopping choose one or two pieces of clothing that you love in your mood board and stick to the list. Find the best pieces of those that you can afford and slowly build up the wardrobe. Because Rome wasn't build in a day.

Lastly and the most important part is that the entire purpose of this was finding something we love and not a reason to hate ourselves. Don't compare yourself to the perfect instagram looks. Because my friend , as they say comparisons are odious and tbh you too know that almost nothing shown on the social media is true today. Ease yourself into your new wardrobe. Don't react harshly to the harsher comments of your family or friends because they too need time to adjust to the new version of you. And finally feel confident and comfortable in whatever you wear.

I hope you enjoyed this post. Hope I gave you some inspiration to find your own style.

2) Using it as a Headband : Tie up a handkerchief synchronised with the outfit in a bad hair day to cover up those relentless strands. This looks works perfectly with picnic outfits or maybe during visit to beaches on windy days.
