LAYERING 101

With the evanescent winters of India, we need to showcase the trendy side of of our winter wardrobe within a few weeks. Layering is one of the most stressed upon and best way to vivify the winter outfits. Layering pieces not only keeps you mellow all day long but also lightens the baggage if you are a wanderlust soul.Mixing of various pieces can also be a great way to reuse dresses from the summers and to cut out the expenses here are a few tips to begin layering right away.

1) THE BASIC LAYER. Choose the first layer that is light, body hugging and thin. The best options can be a turtleneck, a tank top or a full sleeved t-shirt etc, that just start the warm journey.

2)THE MIDDLE LAYER: Just like a sandwich or a burger the middle layer here too, is the funkiest and the most versatile one. Depending upon the sleeve length of the inner layer you can have a plethora of options such as vest, button downs, crop tops, cardigans, camis and even the summer dresses can make up the middle layer. You can also add multiples of middle layers if you are smart enough to play with the pieces.

3) THE OUTER LAYER: To beat up the nasty winters the last layer is the toughest one all your study coats, jackets and parkas are made up of this layer.

4) ACCESSORIZE: After you are done with the layers of clothing zest up your outfit with hats, caps, gloves, ear muffs, scarfs, belts, tal boots and all sorts of cute winter accessories.

5) PAY ATTENTION TO PROPORTION: As it involves a ton of clothing and to look like you aren't swamped in clothes, opt for either tight bottoms and loose tops or vice versa.
