Winter is my favourite season. From cosy clothes to long and silent stelliferous nights and the joy of new beginnings, everything adds up to the charm of winters to make it special. Festivals such as Diwali, Christmas, New Year and lazy workout schedules can easily make you gain some extra weight. Hence the best and the cosiest way to hide all those extra layers of fat is sweaters. So here are some tips to help you find and style a mellow, comfy piece to keep you toasty throughout the season.

TIP-1: STYLE : With online shopping, a vivid range of sweaters are available easily for you to try. Here are some types of sweaters and their basic styles. Crew Neck and V neck sweaters are the most common. They are formal and can be layered over formal shirts for office looks or wear as it is to the office with formal pants. Turtle neck and mock neck can be used both ways when paired properly. Blazers and turtle/mock neck are age-old friends for formal events in winter. They can also be paired with distressed jeans or other informal jeans to have a casual day out with friends look. Cowl neck and zipped neck sweaters are always reserved for casual events. Cardigans in neutral colours and unembellished buttons are great for formal wears.

TIP-02: SIZE : The size if the sweater can manoeuvre the overall look. While oversized clothing, especially chunky sweaters are trending everywhere when paired incorrectly can make look like drowning in fabric. If your sweater is oversized pair it with tighter bottoms such as skinny jeans or leggings to balance out everything. While there is no harm in trying out oversized clothing, I suggest keeping one or two tight-fitting pieces in neutral colours, which won't make you look frumpy when layered under other things.

TIP-03: STORAGE : Sweaters are delicate and hence must be cared for. Hanging sweaters for long hours can cause it to stretch out and form a hanger dimple, which can certainly take away your dimples. The best way to store your sweaters is to fold them up and roll them tightly and fit it in drawers or racks.

Hope you enjoyed the post. Do hit the like below if you don't want your sweaters to get hanger dimples. Have a cosy weekend and a great time.

A warm cup of coffee or tea. Some crispy cookies, soft cakes or maybe a crumbly ladoo. The biting breeze of winter that makes your nose flutter. The ultimate crave for apricity? Yes, yes, yes they all point towards Winters !! It's just early November and we are already finding excuses not to bathe. Whether or not you find your excuse but there will be thousands of reasons to dress up in winters. So here is a checklist for you to get all your winter essentials ready to welcome the cold.

1) THE BASIC TURTLENECK OR MOCK NECK :

A soft and 'thin' turtleneck is the basic layer for a typical winter look. In mild days it can go as it is and when it's freezing layers and layers can be added to it. The mock neck is a better option especially in India where there are mild winters, cause when you add a scarf it doesn't bulk up but any thin turtle neck is also good to go.

At first try investing in a neutral colour such as black or white or even beige to get tons of outfits. Then go for the colours you love and thick wooly turtle necks.

2) HOODIES :

These are the ultimate protective blankets that you grab and gear up when you don't have time to put together an outfit. Choose ones with classic front pockets to save your hands from cold or maybe to hide your hand when you don't know what to do with your hands when you pose for a picture. Another thing to note about while getting a hoodie is to go for bigger hoods that don't constrict your movement.

3) GOOD OLD DENIM JACKETS :

Denim jackets can spice up any basic look or dress down any overdressed look when used wisely. These act as an accessory to your outfit that you can add or remove whenever necessary. Go for a bigger size so that it covers up all the inner layers gracefully.

4) STOCKINGS:

Besides being the saviour of your legs with short dresses, stockings can be paired with skirts and even pants for a warm layer to keep you toasty all day. Wearing a palazzo, wide-leg jeans, trousers was difficult earlier but not anymore, cause you know the little secret. Layer it up and get some insulation.

5) SCARVES:

Now if you know me, you know how much I love scarves. They too are an accessory to jazz up an outfit. For this particularly I suggest go for your favourite colour or a bold print that suits you to add a pop to the all wintery neutral palette.

Which is your favourite winter essential ? Do let me know if you add something else to your winter wardrobe. Have a great weekend and a safe Diwali.

Seo Ye Ji has now become an international heartthrob after the grand success of 'It's okay not to be okay' (IONTBO). Her ant waist, chopstick legs and big foxy eyes were enough to steal our hearts.

Along with that, we got her witty dialogues, traumatic past and amazing rhetorical outfits, which made her an instant hit. Most of her wardrobe pieces were filled with stunning sleeves, beautiful belts and funky fascinators. So let's dive into her top 10 looks from 'IONTBO'

1) THE VINTAGE QUEEN : Ku Mun Yeong looked like a bewitching woman in her Vintage Purple Dior dress with an umbrella-like frock. She paired it with amazing Red stilettos from Prada. The shots were taken during rain and thunder in a dark psychiatric ward which just added some eerie feeling to the quaint look.

2) OUT OF THE FAIRY TALE TEACHER LOOK : Our sassy girl wore a ritzy ruffled off white jacket by Minjukim. And juxtaposed it with a tan belt and Loewe Obi knee-high boots to tie up the look and to add a pop of colour to the white jacket. This combo made her all set for her Fairy Tale classes.

3) THE CHEEKY CAR CHASE LOOK : Polka dots? Fascinators? Ruffles? Sounds another vintage European look! The black ruffle sleeve dress from Magda Butrym is an eyesome. The white polka dot print details were tired up with a svelte white belt and a cute fascinator.

4) THE LITTLE PINK DRESS : When the world is swayed by the LBD, she chooses to wear a Little Pink dress. This cute mini dress is again from Magda Butrym. The long sleeves, a farrago of floral prints and an exaggerated bow detail adds up some charm to her cold look.

5) THE CASUAL OUTING LOOK : Ku Mun Yeong can give you some travel vibe amidst the pandemic. She wears a printed white button-up shirt from Kenzo along with some loose pants, sturdy belt and white sneakers from Kenzo again to tie up the look and ready to go on a day trip.

6)PICTURE-PERFECT DRESS : Ah!! That day she got her true family picture. She wears a serene white dress from Prada with ruffles at front.

7) LACY LASS : Mun Yeong looks amazing in white clothes. The ice princess wears this amazing midi dress from Zimmermann with a buckle belt along with brown lace-up shoes to show her ulterior side.

8) THE PINK PRINCESS : The flowy frills, sheer texture and the hot blush colour !! This dress from Alexander McQueen is something every princess would try on!!

9) LACE LOVE : This lacy dress from Miu Miu will certainly make you fall in love with laces again. The mock neck the tie-up ribbon detail and elbow-length sleeves look fabulous.

10) FEMME FATALE : Ku Mun Yeong is truly a femme fatale, black floral skirt and sheer white high neck with balloon sleeves is something to wear when you need to twist some arms.

Besides the main star cast of Seo Ye Ji, Kim Soo Hyun and Oh Jung Se, the supporting actors did a splendid job. Through the highs and lows rounding about 16 episodes that keep you at the edge of your seat, you will binge-watch this drama. It is available on Netflix and I suggest keeping a pack of potato chips nearby. (Spare less than a minute for Trailer? - https://youtu.be/50ek4HQo0Bc )

Do let me know which drama did you watch recently ? Thank you for reading. See ya next week for some more fun stuff.
