Duchess Catherine has always been on top of the fashion game. Undoubtedly, she influences the trends not only in Europe but also in the rest of the world. Her grace and elegance are reflected through her modest yet chic clothing. Even her most casual looks are so neat, that the paparazzi turn their cameras towards her. So here are her best casual looks and tips to add her sophistication to our wardrobe.

1)BE AWARE OF THE COLOR FAMILY :

Select your pieces that distinctly separate your body. The best way to decide when opting for different colours is to go for contrasting ones. Even if you are planning for a monochrome look opt for varying shades to separate your torso and legs. Kate follows the contrasting rule and goes for a burgundy top to counter the olive bottoms. The witty addition of matching pumps and a crimson handbag give her a vogue look.

2) THE PERFECT OUTERWEAR:

Adding on a perfect coat or blazer can even turn the most simple look into a classy and supercool one. Try investing in classic European tones of Black, White, Gray, beige etc. Go for sturdy material to avoid the sloppiness. Kate perfectly adds a grey plaid blazer to an all-black look and tries the sleek monochrome look by coupling white on white.

3) JUXTAPOSE YOUR LOOK:

Go for girly prints like polka dots or florals on a formal fitting of jeans and button-ups. Or simply try out soothing feminine colours like purple and pink to juxtapose with the dark hues like navy and black. The Duchess of Cambridge juxtaposed a polka dot black button-up to tone down the Jeans and boots.

4) INVEST IN CLASSICS :

Invest in good classic pieces that you love to build your foundation right. Choose your print and stick to it. For Kate, it is horizontal streaks, she is seen wearing stripes many times in different colours.

5) GINGER UP WITH RIGHT ACCESSORIES:

Keep one statement piece for an outfit that will define your style. It can be a hat, a kerchief or that heirloom you inherited. Add it to your basic look and enliven the aura. Kate has stunning fascinators for formal occasions but for a casual look, she was given a hat and it is a tasteful accessory for a bright day.

Finally, no matter how good looking and rich you are, your elegance is reflected by your wit and politeness. Don't forget to be kind and smart like our favourite Duchess. Share if you find this helpful and do not forget to hit the love below. Take care.

For us, the Indians, late September or early October brings a spark of joy as the festivals knock on our door and bring us new energy, great spirit and spread the splendid aura. Navratri, Vijay Dashmi, Dhanteras, Diwali all come one after another to embark the festive season. Amidst the rush of cleaning, making desserts and forwarding the same message to everyone on WhatsApp we forget about ourselves. Hence here are 5 tips and additional 5 Pro tips to look amazing without much effort this festive season.

1) ADD FUSION TO YOUR LOOKBOOK:

Go and mix up your Indian and Western wear to form a new trendy fusion look. You may pair a halter neck top with lehenga, or a graphic crop tee with saree or go for the effortless kurti on jeans look. Indo-Western looks are easy to create as there are a lot of options to play with without investing a lot.

PRO TIP: Opt for different styles on different occasions. For an instance, if you are wearing saree on Vijay Dashmi go for a kurti on Diwali.

2) ACCESSORIZE RIGHT :

Though Indian jewellery is all about heaviness, over-accessorizing with makeup may give you a bit trying too hard look. Go for light makeup if you are planning for heavy jewellery or vice-versa. Also pairing the jewellery right matters a lot. If you wear heavy jhumkas, keep your neckpiece simple, if you plan to wear a gorgeous ring, tone down the bangles.

PRO TIP: Go for a wristwatch instead of bulky bangles to add a quotient of modernity to the traditional vibes.

3) STOP BEING THE CINDERELLA:

Ditch those ill-fitting, uncomfortable stilettoes. Instead, opt for edgy looking wedges to run around the house in leisure doing errands and clicking selfies with a duck face to upload them on Instagram captioning 'PUJA VIBES !'

PRO TIP: Go for traditional flat juttis if you own one.

4) PLAN BEFORE THE D-DAY :

Plan out your outfits before a day or two by trying them on. Because all of us have gained some extra pounds, thanks to the lockdown and all the chefs available on YouTube.

PRO TIP: Though festivals are all about bright yellow, orange and pink, go for darker colours like Indigo, purple or even black as they tend to give you a slimming look.

5) THE PANDEMIC REMINDER :

Along with gaining weight, there is also a drastic chance of getting the virus amidst the fun of festivals. Therefore, follow all the covid etiquettes, wear masks, follow social distancing and do not forget to click a lot of pictures and post them online.

PRO TIP: The sales are on, if you wish, grab some matching masks online.

Do let me know what all plans you have for the merrymaking!! Till next week take care, see ya, keep sharing !!

Wearing patterns can be tricky, especially when mixing two different ones. Prints, Colours shapes and much more comes to mind while creating the look. But if you pair it right it gives you an extremely sophisticated look. So here is the post that will help you mix and match patterns in an appealing way.

1) SOLID AND PATTERN:

The easiest and quickest possible way to wear patterns is to pair them up with a solid coloured piece. The trick here is to always match one prominent colour of the pattern to the selected solid coloured piece.

2)THE LAW OF DOMINANCE :

Woohoo!! Dominance is applicable everywhere, may it be science or fashion. Whenever layering print on print always go for a bold shape or a popping colour to go for the last layer you are adding. Choose the other subtle colours to match the inner layer sometimes you can also opt for the contrasting colours to go for the inner layers but look for it that, it doesn't create a piece of art drawn by 3-year-old.

3) SIZE IS THE KEY :

Choosing same prints of different size can be a hidden trick to neutralize the whole look.

This can also be used just by changing the orientation of the print if it exactly matches.

4) THE COLOR THEORY :

Choose different pieces from the same colour palette to get the neat tied up look. Different shades of the same hue can instantly give you the put-together look.

PRO-TIP: Even the vice-versa is possible the same print of two different and contrasting colours can hype up the look

5) BOLT THE BELT :

When the print on print looks too messy, tone it down by adding a belt of the common colour and BAM! your outfit is good to go.

It's a wrap for this week!! Hope you liked the post. Paint the heart below with red if you liked it. Thank you and see ya next week.
